Starting Nursery
Those first few mornings matter. We settle every child gently, at their own pace, so that nursery quickly feels like a happy second home.
Settling in
Before your child's first full day, we'll invite you both in for many visits so they can meet their key person, explore the rooms and get used to the routine, with you close by for reassurance.
A typical day
Warm welcome and free play as everyone arrives
Snack, singing and a story on the carpet
Adventures outdoors, rain or shine, in the garden, at the park or down at the beach
Packed lunches, quiet time and afternoon activities
A friendly handover at the end of the day
What to bring
A cold packed lunch and a drink in a named container
A set of spare clothes (or two for our youngest)
Nappies and wipes if needed
A coat, and indoor footwear such as slippers or pumps if you like
In summer, please arrive with sun cream already applied
Any medication your child needs, clearly labelled
Any comforter that helps them feel at home
Please label everything with your child's name. It saves an awful lot of lost property mysteries!
Fees
Please contact the nursery for our current fees. We're always happy to talk through your days, hours and any funded entitlement your child may have.
Fees policy
- Fees are payable monthly, by the 14th of each month.
- Please give one month's notice for any change of hours.
- All absences must be paid for, including sickness, holidays or failure to take a daily place.
- Each child or family may take two weeks' annual holiday at a 50% rate.
Please note: outstanding fees may result in the immediate cancellation of your child's place. If you're ever having difficulty, do talk to us early. We'd always rather help than lose a family.
